Time for a blog revival!!

Hello! Over the last few months I barely posted anything to Purely Polish. After spending the majority of 2013 unemployed it started to take it’s toll, I had no money to buy new polish or stamping plates or accessories and it really got me down in the end, hence the lack of posting.

But!!! I have a new job 🙂 that I started at the beginning of December and it’s going pretty well. So that means… more pretties! I have a bunch of stuff on its merry way to me at the moment, so that should give me some stuff to write about. For the meantime, I want to show you this limited edition Barry M nail polish that I am totally obsessed with.

This is Fairy Lights and it’s stunning. I am so in love with it, I want to layer it over absolutely everything! The fact that it’s limited edition means I’ve already bought two bottles…

The above photo is from my Instagram, if you’d like to follow me there my name is 115thDream 🙂

A couple more pics that I’ve taken over the last few weeks! You can tell I love it… most nail polishes don’t get this much of an airing!

So yes, this marks my return I suppose… more to come…

Mummy Manicure!

My mum saw the black and gold wavy pattern nails that I’m sporting today and decided that she wanted some too! She’s off to a hen party tonight and has picked out a black and gold dress to go with them!

This is from the MoYou pro plate 8 and I used Barry M black as a base and the Barry M gold foil for the stamping!

Polka Dots!

I’m a bit late with this one as I did this mani at the end of last week!

I broke my little fingernail down to the point where it was painful so I ended up sticking on a set of falsies, but not before I’d painted them with something cool!

I’m absolutely useless at nail art when it’s on my own hands, but I think I do ok on a set of fake nails. I went for the classic black with white polka dots and they looked gorgeous.

I love them! I’ve just removed them now after four days as I get a little bit fed up with false nails, they feel wrong to me. I do love to show off my nail art though!

I think I’m gonna try polka dot gradients next!

It’s my birthday! (Mini Haul Pics)

It’s my birthday!

So to celebrate turning the grand old age of 22 (lol) obviously I received nail polishes as presents 🙂

I have 4 to show you and they’re all stunning. They all came from Sally Magpies as usual and I think I’ll be going back to spend some birthday money 🙂

First up is Magia by Jade, another one from the holografico collection. Magia is black and the holo is surprisingly strong, I expected it to be fairly weak against the black pigment:

I’d wanted Magia for ages but it was always out of stock whenever I had the money for it! Thankfully Sally restocked just in time for my birthday, so I managed to get this one and also Déjà Vu which is a hot pink holo also by Jade:

The holo is so strong on this one but unfortunately as I’m still without a camera, my phone will have to do 😦 the base colour is gorgeous and the fact that it’s a holo is even better (we all know I love a holo)!

As usual with the Jade polishes, the application is a dream as they are so well formulated and worth every penny.

Next up is Atena which part of the Hits No Olimpo collection – all named after gods and goddesses!

I’m in love with this colour. Again, it’s a holo, but not as strong as the Jades.

The dark pink is similar to another colour I have, but as this one is a holo it has the edge!

Last up is also from Hits but this one is from the Mari Moon Multigirl collection and it’s called Pinkland Girl. It’s a mix of pink and blue holographic glitter and this is opaque in two coats:

I can’t wait to layer this one over different polishes to see what I can come up with!

I think I’ve done pretty well with these four 🙂 I’ve also got some stamping plates coming for my birthday but they’ve not been delivered yet!

Anyway, I’m off to browse Sally Magpies with the rest of my birthday money!
